Poker Freedom Act of 2013 Released - 7/11/2013

Texas representative Joe Barton released the details of the Poker Freedom Act of 2013. This bill would legalize online poker in the United States. However, only existing brick and mortar poker rooms would be able to participate. So companies like 888, PokerStars and Zynga would be excluded. If the bill passes online poker could be up and running in approximately 9 months.

Players Steals Money, Funds Vegas Trip, Wins WSOP Event? - 7/5/2013

Troy Wilcoxon, a former employee of the Lancer Lances Casino in Washington State, is being accused of stealing $25,000 from his previous employer. The crime scene had no signs of forced entry, so investigators think that it was an inside job. More than that, though, it's alleged that he used the money to buy into the $500 Casino Employee event at the WSOP, where he took 11th place for $5,000.

PokerStars Enters New Jersey After All - 7/5/2013

PokerStars agreed to a new deal today to enter the New Jersey (online) market. This is following a fall out of their previous deal where they had millions of dollars already invested with Atlantic Club, one of the least profitable casinos in the state. With this new deal they will be working with Resorts, one of Atlantic City's oldest land-based casinos, to offer online poker to residents of New Jersey.

Linux - Poker sites will likely never develop a specific download for their operating system. But that doesn’t mean that you’re out of luck.
