Amateur Online Poker Player Makes The Leap To Live Tables
One Hundred and three players came forth for the High Heels Poker Tour, which was held at the Isle Casino & Racing at Pompano Park. This was the all women's tournament debut event and women who felt like Mindy Crown came rushing in.
"Some men can be arrogant and abusive playing with women, you know, set in their ways," stated Crown.
And Rita Riddle agrees, stating, "Too intimidating".
This last Saturday's tournament is part of a planned series for the entire East Coast of the country. And next fall in the Bahamas will be a tournament for the champions. Satellite winners receive free entry into tournaments like this past Saturday's, which was $250 just to enter.
Lisa Teebagy, of Lighthouse Point, walked with first place and $5,407 with tenth place only receiving $297.
This is sure to become a popular event, as more women will feel comfortable about taking a break from the online poker rooms and heading for a live table for some in-person excitement.
