CPT and World Poker Showdown Partner Up

The Canadian Poker Tour recently acquired HeadsUp Entertainment International Inc. and they are happy to announce that they have entered into a strategic marketing alliance with the World Poker Showdown to enhance and promote each others series of events.

The CPT is launching thier 2008 season this Wednesday in Calgary and Alberta. Canada with the Calgary Classic that will be held at the Cash Casino.  The winners from each main event will then be qualified to play at the televised CPT Invitational Finals that will be held on January 20th through the 22nd as part of the World Poker Showdown's series of events that will be held at the Ocean World casino in the Dominican Republic.

The World Poker Showdown has held a number of fun and more importantly affordable poker tournaments in exotic locations through the Caribbean and southern Central America for the last five years.  They are currently the leader in vacation destination poker getaways.

The CPT Finals will be one of a series of events that will run from January 16th through the 25th at the Ocean World Casino.  The CPT is going to be hosting 12 to 14 tournaments across Canada and all will be qualifying events for the CPT Finals.
