Commentator Announced for Latin American Poker Tour

It was announced yesterday that a person had been selected to provide on-air commentary for the Vega Latin American Poker Tour. Vega Promotional Systems Inc, have decided to use "Bob the Butcher" as their voice for the first season of the LAPT. "Bob the Butcher" is known as quite the character in the poker world. The Vega Company owns the Right of Personality for Bob Clark otherwise known as "Bob the Butcher". The company plans to use Clark as one of their commentators for the season.

Vega has been in talks with many poker pros to be the host for the first season of the tour. Vega will be producing the programming and airing it in Latin America. Vega is currently in negotiations to receive airtime with major cable providers so the company can see a profit from advertising. The tour will have tournaments in eight Latin American countries. They include: Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Puerto Rico. The tournaments will be invitation only and players can win seats online and at local tournaments. Any player from anywhere in the world has the chance to qualify.

Michael Herron, CEO of Vega stated, "We are very fortunate and excited to have Bob involved in the Tour. We've worked with Bob for quite awhile now and he was the obvious choice to provide commentary during the tournaments. Not only is he one of the most colorful poker personalities in the world, he's a top notch poker player himself and will add a very unique style of commentary. Bob also has many professional poker playing friends and plans to have a few of those friends make cameo appearances during the tournaments."
