First Annual Women in Poker Hall of Fame

The Women in Poker Hall of Fame was created by The Ladies International Poker Series. The Women in Poker Hall of Fame will have its first induction ceremony and luncheon on February 8th 2008.The event will take place at 11:00 am at Benny's Bullpin at Binions Casino in Las Vegas. The Master of Ceremonies will be Mike Sexton and the guest speaker will be Jan Fisher. There will be an open tournament following the ceremony at 2 pm with a buy-in of $500 plus $60. It will be a No Limit Hold'em event.

The Women in Poker Hall of Fame was created to honor the women in poker for their achievements and also their contributions to the poker world. They have a committee whose specific duties include; creating election procedures, setting the standards for inductees, and the responsibility of the induction events. The ladies who make up the board of The Women in Poker Hall of Fame are: Lupe Soto-LIPs Founder, Karina Jett -Professional player, Allyn Jaffrey Shulman-Professional Player and Poker Industry Professional, Maureen Feduniak-Professional Player and Poker Industry Professional and Suzanne Carter-Director of Marketing Ocean's Eleven Casino.
