First Ever Australian Poker News Cup
Australia is staking its claim in the Poker World. Poker News, an online magazine for internet poker fans, is teaming up with Euro Poker to send some one to the Crown Casino in Melbourne this October. They are sponsoring the First Australian Poker News Cup, a tournament for the aspiring Australian Poker Pro.
They are setting a target of 90 people to appear for Poker News and Euro Poker in the Poker News Cup. To qualify in one of the spots, you need to qualify to play in the $5000 PokerNews Cup Australia Freeroll, which will start on Aug. 3rd at 1pm EST.
To participate, the agreement between Euro Poker and Poker News is that players download and register for a new account through Poker News' website. Once a deposit is made, each player must earn 200 Euro Poker Points prior to the Aug. 1st deadline for registration. After the Aug. 1st time line, eligible players will be issues a ticket they can use to register for the tournament.
Registration for the freeroll will open 24hrs prior to the start there of. The winner of the exclusive PokerNews player freeroll will receive 6 night's accommodations at the Crown Promenade Hotel October 21-29, entrance into the Australian Cup's 3000-dollar main event, and 1500 dollars for travel and expenses. There will also be Team Poker News functions, events, parties and more that the winner will be a part of.
