Poker player Jamie Gold tried to bluff his hand and failed against Guy Laliberte in the latest episode of High Stakes Poker. Jamie Gold has been quoted as stating that he would like to become the best at bluffing his poker hands in the world, although his bluff did no good up against Guy Laliberte.

The minimum buy-in had been raised from $100,000 up to $500,000 and in one of the first hands Laliberte flopped a pair of aces and was holding an Ac-Jh his bet $12,000 this is when Jamie Gold re-raised with $32,000.

Laliberte raised again to $82,000 and Jamie Gold folded showing his hand to the table, he had been holding 8s-4s.

According to Gabe Kaplan the host of High Stakes Poker choosing billionaires to bluff is not wise.

Gold would see his retribution a short time later with a hand against Doyle Brunson where he was holding 9s-7s against Brunson's Ts-8s, Brunson bet $25,000 and Gold came in with a raise of $125,000.

The next to try a bluff was David Benyamine with a seven-duce, however for much of the game Laliberte dominated the cards.

This High Stakes Poker game was held at the South Point Hotel and Casino.
