It is Second Place for Annette Obrestad

At the European Poker Tour Annette Obrestad had made it to the final table in Dublin and Saturday found her at the final table as the chip leader with $788,000.

The game was on her side through elimination of several final table poker players, Casper Hensen, Michael Durrer, Trond Eidsvig and Reijo Manninen.

When it came to the last two poker players left at the table it was Annette Obrestad and Rubin Peters; Obrestad with 42.6 million and Peters with $700,000.

While Obrestad held a hand that would be her undoing, she bet $420,000 and on the flop Kc-Jc_9d Peters re-raised all-in and when Obrestad folded Peters took the lead.

The final hand came and Peter bet big with As-Th on the pre-flop, Obrestad re-popped with pocket sevens. The flop was Tc-6d-3d, Annette Obrestad put in $230,000 and Peter re-raised all-in, Obrestad then called the hand finished out with 4c-3h that finished the final table for Annette Obrestad.

The Norwegian Annette Obrestad left the final table in second place of the European Poker Tour in Dublin with  €297,800.

Placing second in the European Poker Tour in Dublin and her win at the WSOP Main Event places her in another category, and that is one of the top three women poker players.
