New H.O.R.S.E Camp
Camp participants will be taught H.O.R.S.E by a group of championship level instructors. The instructors will include but are not limited to, Annie Duke, Howard Lederer, Greg Raymer, Andy Bloch Mark Seif, and Alex Outhred. Additionally Joe Navarro, a former FBI agent with expertise in nonverbal behavior will be sharing incites on poker tells, of all types, and how to read them.
There will be daily in-depth classes on each of the games that make up a H.O.R.S.E, plus a bonus class for No Limit HoldEm, to cover all aspects of tournament plays. As an incentive for the developing players, there will be competition for seats to the 2008 World Series of Poker. A small tournament involving all of the games will be played on day two, and the top four finishers will each receive an entry to the $2500 H.O.R.S.E. event at the 2008 WSOP. On the last day there will be an additional opportunity for the participants to will entry to next years World Series of Poker, but this time, it will be to the $10 thousand dollar Main Event. This makes the camp a lucrative investment for everyone involved.
The Academy has been successful at producing camp champions. One example of this is the first WSOP Academy Ladies Only poker champion, Sally Anne Boyner, who won this years Ladies event at the WSOP. One reason this is so successful is that camp participants have the opportunity to play with the poker champions from all over the world, learning advanced strategy, and intricate aspects of the game from them directly.
