PokerNews Cup Event Was A True Success
Event number one started out fantastic as the players from around the world got ready for the first ever PokerNews Cup event. Winners were given a tour of the De Bortoli Winery while getting to learn a little bit about making wine. And then bright and early the next morning they headed out for a cruise on the Yarra River.
Then onto the PokerNews Cup Main Event, which all in all had a prize pool of
$1.1 million with first place, getting $300,000 of that. Most of the players
who won prize packages actually qualified for the event for free.
And by the end of it all, Dory Zayner took home AU $300,000. And many others did very well by turning their $0 investment into $47,900, which is exactly what Jordan Lamberg did as he qualified for free through Duplicate Poker.
Even though there isn't yet another date set in stone for the next PokerNewsCup Event, keep checking PokerNews for announcements as I am sure there will be one again soon.
