The Gaming Bug Strikes India

In Cyber cafes and even in private homes gamers will be finding their way to these sites as of Tuesday, September 4th , even though it is illegal to gamble in India and those caught can be arrested. Until now people in this country wishing to gamble hid away with others to gamble, Tuesday these same people will be able to gamble online in cyber cafes and at home.

The president of the Cyber Café Association Hemant Bhatt located in Ahmedabad stated that there is a form of poker that is named "Teen Patti" that attracts many teenagers, however this type of poker game also has a touch of traditional Indian card games.

The Indians are being lured to some sites, for the inexperienced player there are gifts they can win, ipods or laptops are some of the items; the more experienced player of course can play at the online casino as long as they like, winning or losing.

The cyber cafes have said they will cater to their customers by keeping late hours for there gaming enjoyment. How this will all play out is yet to be seen as it is still illegal to gamble in India for their citizens.
