The Luck Of The Irish and Online Poker
Twenty-two year old James McManus of Dublin Ireland is a recent college graduate in math, and he is now also nearly $100,000 richer than he was two months ago. Luck has certainly been with him, while playing at PartyPoker he spent a few months earning points to enter into the Grindrolls, where he won a Mini Cooper S convertible and a Nintendo Wii.
This is not the end of the story for this player who wants to work in either finance or as a math teacher, he has also put in his account $52,000. When loosing a hand with quads to a straight flush and winning the bad beat jackpot.
In a statement by a PartyPoker spokesman, they feel this player has someone looking out for him when playing online poker.
McManus said he has paid of any outstanding bills he had and has money put aside for online gambling, but he does not feel he has enough as of yet to enter a tournament, but someday, for right now he is content at the level of poker he is at.
September 9th was "The Grind" and in order for players to qualify they had to earn twenty-five PartyPoints per day for three days running to participate in the $2,000 Grindroll. The more PartyPoints the larger the Grindroll they qualified to enter.
