The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) is getting some hard hitting attention from YouTube visitors.

Earlier this week the Association of Players, Casinos and Webmasters uploaded a video on the popular social video site, criticizing the United States Government and the support of the UIGEA. The brief video explains how many governments, including the US do little to end war, poverty, and other social ills, but that they are focused on the ban of online gaming. It continues to say the APCW's fight is about stopping government laws passed in secret and the deterioration of personal freedoms, and the security therein. The video concludes by asking, "Why do we fight?" answering, "Because the only other option is, not to." It fades to black and then encourages viewers to join the fight at a www.apcw.org. The video currently has over 12,500 views, and the number continues to grow quickly.

The short video was produced by APCW Administrator J. Todd who is also the host of a YouTube video series titled Perspectives Weekly. Perspectives Weekly covers online, and off line, gambling and the laws related thereto. The show usually generates 3,000 to 4,000 views weekly. APCW additionally has a print magazine with subscribers in the thousands. According to the Web site the APCW is an online group dedicated to players' advocacy and players' rights. The group began in 2003 by testing software, auditing casinos and advocating fair play. The site goes on to speak about previous partnerships with other important advocacy groups like the Online Poker Players Alliance, the Interactive Gaming Council, and iGaming Business.
