Yale University Playing Poker
Students around the campus of Yale University are still finding ways to enjoy a game of poker even if it's not exactly legal in the state of Connecticut. Yale University has seen some of the top poker players wander its halls as the campus was once home to Matt Matros, Vanessa Selbst, Alex Jacob and others.
There isn't an organized poker club on the Yale campus but the poker players at Yale are finding each other and they have formed the Yale Law Poker Team that competed last year in November at the First Annual Harvard-Yale Poker Tournament. The tournament was organized by members from each university's Global Poker Strategic chapter.
Both schools had a team of five players that were playing in heads up best of three matches with the winner scoring one point for their team. Harvard ended up taking the win three to two.
Students at the campus that want to get dealt in the poker games that go on should keep a look out for future events. Some of the school sponsored organizations have had freeroll tournaments in the past and will probably host more in the future.
