Company Changes At Cryptologic, 3 New Directors Employed
Simon has been on the Cryptologic board of directors since late 2005, but feels it is time to step down from his position as he has completed his duties. Simon directed and assisted in the re-organization of the Cryptologic company and is now moving to Dublin, Ireland.
Simon's previous experience includes 20 years with Gallaher Group PLC, a UK-based multi-billion dollar international tobacco company, holding senior management and executive positions. He also has a long, reputable track record with charity involvement. He is currently serving as trustee for a major UK charity, as well as mentoring for a trust charity program that helps under-privileged youth get a start in business, developed by the Prince of Wales.
Along with the departure, Cryptologic welcomes 3 new directors to the board, Brian Hadfield, Tom Byrne and Wai Ming Yap. According to comments from Stikeman, these "seasoned business people", recruited from Europe and Asia, will help to broaden the company's global strategy and reflect their new position in the European market.
Brian Hadfield has 21 years experience with senior positions at Unisys Ltd, which include managing director and vice president for the UK, Singapore and the Middle East.
Chartered accountant Tom Byrne spent 14 years climbing to the head of corporate finance at a Dublin brokerage firm and as a partner with an international accounting firm. He is presently a nominee of Ireland's Institute of Bankers to the Irish Takeover Panel board.
Wai Ming Yap is a lawyer, specializing in gaming and leisure law, with Singapore's Stamford Law Corporation and a member of public company boards in Hong Kong.
