Gambling Bust in Indonesia
Reports on Thursday from a police officer that said that the police entered the apartment in West Jakarta on Saturday, where they arrested twelve people. The arrests were the owner who is seventy years old, along with eleven others who worked as his assistants and attend college.
It was reported by the police general crimes director, Carlo Brix Tewu that the owner whose name is Ongko Widjojo, he has run the online gambling site for around six months and in his apartment police found about forty computers, flat screen monitors and two large servers in a bedroom. It is believed that each of the servers found in the bedroom has the capability of serving thousands of gigabytes.
The General Crimes director stated it took several weeks to find this location, he also stated they began to suspect this apartment in Jakarta after it had come to their attention that two of the top United States websites were using two servers that appeared to originate in Indonesia.
