MGM Grand Macau to Open Next Week in Macau
The casino sets on the waterside of Macau and is a 35 story tower. It has 60 lavish rooms and 385 gambling tables. The casino also has 16 private gambling salons and 888 poker machines. Great care was taken in the design of the casino. It has an original sculpture by Salvador Dali and hand-blown glass pansy flowers by artist Dale Chihuly. The casino also has a conservatory with a glass ceiling. Not only will the casino offer gambling but also aesthetic beauty.
Pansy Ho has already spoken to the media on the neighboring casinos and says: "I would urge our neighbors to watch out." It was announced yesterday that beginning in 2008, VEGA PROMOTIONAL SYSTEMS, INC will be launching a Latin American Poker Tour. The tour would take place in eight different Latin American countries. These countries include Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. "There's no end of creative ideas at MGM Grand Macau".
The neighboring casinos are smaller than the MGM Grand. The Crown Macau was opened in May and has 220 tables and 500 poker machines. It also has 216 rooms that includes 24 VIP suites. They too focus on the high rollers.
With the opening of the MGM Grand next week the city of Macau will now have 8300 hotel rooms, 4400 gambling tables and 12,400 poker machines. The total gambling turnover is already well over Las Vegas' totals.
