PartyGaming Seeking Sale
The EIG iGaming conference in Barcelona heard from the Chief Executive Officer of PartyGaming, Mitch Garber in an interview said that PartyGaming is looking forward to takeover offers from some of the major casinos in Las Vegas.
PartyGaming is based in Gibraltar and was at one time the largest online site for games like poker, with a value of nearly ten billion dollars. However they like other online poker sites lost profits when American players were ban after the UIGEA was passed and the board of directors decided it was best to leave the US market.
The cap on the PartyGaming Company is approximately two million, however they believe the company could be of interest as a purchase by land based casino's that are seeking to enter the world of online casinos.
CEO Gerber was questioned as to whether PartyGaming has already been approached or in talks and he refused to comment on the matter further.
Earlier this year their competitor 888.com was involved with Ladbrokes, in a merger deal, which later fell apart. Now that PartyGaming is considering selling out there were questions as to whether there could be a deal with Ladbrokes.
