Quarterly Reports From Two Poker Networks.
The quarterly reports are in from two online poker networks and they are very different from each other in quarter three, and much different since the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act. While one seems to have sufferered the loss of American poker players at their online casino, the other has increased their revenue even with the loss of American online poker players visiting their site.
Playtech is the owner of the Ipoker network have reported their profits are exceptional for the quarter up to October, for online poker sites like Titan Poker and Paddy Power Poker. They have reported they have had an increase in revenue with $7.5 million as opposed to the same time last year at $2.1million.
Cryptologic network is on the other side of the coin with their profits down since the passing of the UIGEA. They are the company that hosts' sites such as Littlewoods poker and Sun Poker both were hit hard when they lost American online poker players. Their income from their online poker sites were $4.8 million this year while for the same amount of time last year their profit was $8.3 million. Their total revenue for this year for all gambling operations is $53 million compared to the same amount of time last year at $85 million.
