Oklahoma Crowns four more Winners
Taking home the win in Fridays $300 No-Limit Hold'em poker tournament, with a prize pool of $63,000, where 235 showed up for the challenge, was Noah Nodine of Norman, Oklahoma. This win brought Nodine not only the win, but also a cruise and $20,260 top prize.
"The table was very aggressive," Nodine noted after winning the tournament, "I just tried to pick my spots."
Winner for Friday's $200 Apollo's No-Limit Bounty tournament was Jason Romberger. 240 players showed for the tournament and their chance at the $14,588 first place.
In the $300 H.O.R.S.E.. ,pre than 150 players entered, having the prize pool build to $44,080, which was paid out to the top 16 winners. Bob Menn of Piedmont, Oklahoma taking home the first place prize of $14,329.
"I came down for the weekend and just decided to enroll," Menn said. "I'm new to some of the games and made many mistakes. I just was lucky that they paid off!"
59 entered the $500 buy-in Ladies' No-Limit Hold-em tournament. Laresa Raney took victory over this tournament, winning $9,385 first place.
"My mom is my favorite poker celebrity!" said Laresa, "She is also my greatest influence."
The large money events are just around the corner, with less than a week to go in the Challenge. Scotty Nguyen and other professional players will be attending the main tournament.
