Red Cherry Poker Ads Banned by ASA

Red Cherry Poker, formally known as Swank Poker, have attracted a good bit of attention to their online poker room as they offer something that no other online poker room does; adult entertainment. The online poker room combines poker with adult fun and recent ads released by the site have gotten them into a bit of trouble.

The Advertising and Gambling Association recently ruled that ads released by the poker room be banned for they link gambling and sexual success. The ASA also cited that social responsibility was not upheld in the nature of the ads as they ran in adult magazines that targeted certain age markets.

The ads ran in adult magazines and promised “hot action” or “wildest fantasies”. Some ads were very descriptive on what a woman wanted the player to do to her sexually and some ads said they would reward the player with “serious erotic action”.

The site even has a usual comp points system compared to other online poker rooms. The sit gives away trips to brothels, sex clubs or porn filming sets. This is largely different from poker chips and free tournament entries that other poker rooms give away.
