888 to Develop Live Casino Service in Asia
The 888 Holding plc and Entertasia Technology Company Ltd have joined in a partnership agreement that will develop a live casino service in Asia. Entertasia Technology Company Ltd provides gaming solutions for Asian operators and they will manage the operations for the new live casino. 888 will use their marketing abilities to gain new customers in the region.
The plan is for the two companies to provide a sports book that is focused on the Asian market and they will partner with E-Sky, which is already an Asian sports book. The new sports book would be launched during the first quarter of 2008 in many Asian territories and languages.
The main goal for Entertaisa, which was formed in 2005, was to provide gaming software for land-based and internet gaming operators. They have stated on their site that they want to provide a "Live" gaming feature that will make a player feel like they are in a real casino. 888 like this idea and hopes that the partnership will help them further their expansion into the Asian market.
The amount 888 is set to make from the deal has not yet been released. This is the latest of many partnerships for the company. This past December they partnered with Kamay Holdings Ltd to expand their white-label gaming business. In November they started working with Rank Group plc to provide sports betting for the company. And more deals were made during the first of 2007.
This past year has really helped the site rebuild after their losses from the US after the UIGEA was passed. The company will most likely continue to see an increase in revenue and profits as well as customers as they continue to expand their services.
