Bodog Moves Further into the Chinese Market
Online gambling sites have been steadily moving into foreign markets to take advantage of the rising interest in gambling and poker. Bodog Entertainment is one such Company making strides. The Company recently launched a new Chinese web site for their Chinese speaking customers. Last year Bodog added a Chinese customer service phone line to better serve customers needs.
The Company has also begun a Chinese ad campaign which was created to bring more traffic from the Chinese market. A web landing page was also created to provide direction for Chinese language customers to find the service line and other information they might need. The ad campaign will feature Evelyn Ng, Team Bodog player, who is of Chinese-Canadian descent.
The founder of Bodog, Calvin Ayre, has stated he wants to make Bodog a so-called online Macau. "Stanley Ho, watch out. Bodog wants to be known as the Macau of the online world. With the best games, top customer service and the innovation to bring the most exciting entertainment to our Chinese customers, they don't need to look to Macau or Las Vegas. We bring the excitement to them," he said. "2008 is a big year for the Chinese and Bodog. We want our Chinese customers to know that Bodog has the same Beijing Olympic spirit to achieve the best."
