Software Improvements Improves Popularity for Betfair
Betfair, the online gambling operator, recently released a statement announcing that the site has seen an increase in popularity since they improved their software. The new improvements have helped the site gain an increase in their player numbers and the site believes it is due to the high stakes games available.
Betfair Poker has seen such an increase that they have has regular traffic to their high stakes games and those players have been risking thousands of dollars on a daily basis. A recent game earlier this week ended after ten hours and $600,000 was up for grabs. The game was a $250/$500 No Limit Hold'em game and SuckMyD and Operation were the final two players left to duke it out. They finally reached a point where they both decided they were ready to stop. Operation won $150,000 and SuckMyD won an impressive $450,000. The game began around midnight and continued until ten in the morning.
"Our software has come on leaps and bounds. We have seen a strong increase in player numbers over the last few months and these high-stakes games give all the players' good entertainment. Betfair is very popular with high-stakes poker players because our payments system is one of the best on the web. When you are putting so much money at stake you want to know that the site is secure, payments can be made quickly and the exchange rates are fair. Its good work if you can handle the pressure," said Oliver Bowen, Spokesman for Betfair."
