England To Film Party Poker Dutch Open
Being TV oriented, the inaugural event will be appropriately located in the banks of Brouwersgracht.
Rob Hollink of the Netherlands, winner of the World Poker Tour Main Event, will not only participate in the event, but will also help to provide commentary throughout the tournament. It is Hollink's hope however, that he does not provide coverage of the final table, as he would prefer to be seated among those players!
Rolf Slotboom is another Dutch adversary to keep a watchful eye on. Most skilled in Omaha poker, Slotboom is a worthy opponent in Texas Hold'Em as well, taking 4 bracelets in the World Series of Poker earlier this year.
All in all, 36 Dutch players will converge in London for the Party Poker Bonus Code Dutch Open, awarding a total prize pool of €117,000. The buy-in for the event is €2,500 with €50,000 going to the first place winner.
A spokesperson for Party Poker gave the following statement, "Dutch players are a major force in the poker world and this is a great way to showcase their talents. We're delighted to be sponsoring this tournament but we decided not to insist on orange felt on the table. After all, the orange and dark orange chips were the subject of a lot of debate at the WSOP. We're not sure if it is the favorite color of poker players other than main event winner Jerry Yang at the moment, even if the player is Dutch!"
