Poker Den: The Big Game II to Air Tonight in United Kingdom
PartyPoker sponsored The Big Game II, which took place in East London last year. The Big Game II is a continuous poker cash game that takes place for 24 hours. Matchroom Sport was the organizer of the event and many well known players participated. Players could leave the table at any time and many of them brought $20,000 as their buy-in.
"Devilfish" Dave Ulliot, Tony G., Todd Brunson, Chris Ferguson, Pamela Brunson, Ian Frazer were at the poker tables. Jamie Gold, Brian Townsend, Robert Williamson III, Hoyt Corkins and Thomas Bihl were also in attendance. A PartyPoker spokesman stated that the blinds started low but in ten minutes the first $20,000 pot was won. He also stated: The stakes were high and tempers were frayed as the big guns flexed their egos in London's most notorious back-street venue."
Jesse May was on hand as commentator along with other poker professionals who contributed their two cents. The show, which begins tonight at midnight, will run for five weeks airing every Wednesday night on channel four in the United Kingdom. Poker fans in the United Kingdom can tune in and get their poker fix as the pros mix it up in fierce competition.
