Scandinavian Poker Masters - The Game

There will be a new game on TV tonight in Sweden anyway, as PartyPoker will start airing the Scandinavian Poker Masters - The Game. This will be the first Scandinavian high stakes cash game to be televised. It is scheduled to run for nine weeks.

This series was filmed in London last summer and there have been clips of the monster pots found all over the Internet since the taping.

Some of the most popular Scandinavian players will be seated such as Patrik Antonius, Martin De Knijff, Jan Sorensen, Per Hildebrand, Rene Mouritsen, Ilari Sahamies, Fredrik Halling, Tobias Persson, Tony G and Juha Helppi.

Buy in for this cash game was $50,000 for must but two online qualifiers got to sit with the poker pros for only a $1 investment and they are Johan Ocklind and Jan Nilsson.

According to PartyPoker, "The language at the table is predominantly English. Look out for the six-figure pots and the tension between Ilari Sahamies and Patrick Antonius, which makes great television for any poker fan."
