WSOPE Debuting In April On Sky Poker
Fans of poker can now look forward to watching the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe in April, the series will be making an eight night appearance on Sky Sports.
The 2007 WSOPE took place on September 5th through the 17th at The Empire at the Casino, the Fifty and the Sportsman. The series saw three European players emerge victorious in the three sperate events.
Thomas Bihl beat out Jennifer Harman head up to win the very first WSOPE event, the £2,500 H.O.R.S.E. Then Dario Alioto beat out Tony G in three handed play and then beat Istven Novak heads up to win Event 2, the Pot Limit Omaha.
The largest event of course was the £10,000 main event where Annette Obrested who was only 18 at the time beat out 362 other players to get to John Tabatabai and then she sent him home in second place. She became the youngest player to win a WSOPE event and the only female to win a WSOP main event on that day.
Soon you will be able to re watch all the action, there are going to be 8 total episodes and each episode will get broadcasted twice a day. The shows will begin airing on April 21st and will run til April 26th on Sky Sports 2, Sky Sports 3 and Sky Sports Xtra.
