888.com World Poker Crown Winner Jack Hinchey
The 888.com World Poker Crown finished on Thursday and the world was watching online as the final eight players competed live in Barcelona for the $1 million dollar top prize. The fact that a lot of people were watching live world wide added some additional pressure to the final table as there was going to be no editing out moments of play.
The World Poker Crown began play online at Pacific Poker where there was a $3 million dollar prize pool at stake. Once the action was down to the top 10 players the game was stopped and the players and their chips were shipped off to Spain to finish the game live and the man that took the cash and the title home was Jack Hinchey from Canada.
Jack Hinchey wasn't the only Canadian player at the live final table he was joined by three of his countrymen at the Peralada Castle in Barcelona. Michael Lee went out however before the live broadcast of the final table began and then Pini Roberto also went out early and then when the live broadcast actually started there were only eight players left sitting at the final table.
The eight players sitting at the felts were Mark Castinguay, Jack Hinchey and Michael Lawson from Canada, Mark Rossler from Germany, Piotr Stanislaw from Poland, Arjan van Bavel, Bert van Doesburg and Bart Wetsteijn from The Netherlands. Once the cameras turned on Castonguay went out in eighth place and then play continued on for about eight more hours.
The Final Table Results Are:
