Annie Duke Charity Event to make fun of Joan Rivers
If you have been hiding under a rock somewhere then you may not know that Joan Rivers spoke harsh words to Annie Duke during the Celebrity Apprentice. Annie will now get her back during her upcoming charity poker tournament.
The tournament is called Sucking out on the Rivers and it will benefit the Refugees International charity, which is the same charity that Duke was raising money for during the NBC television show. The event will feature more than twenty Joan Rivers impersonators and will be hosted by the well-known impersonator, Frank Marino. Each Rivers impersonator will have a bounty on their head while competing in the tournament.
Rivers made several comments to Duke about how poker players are white trash and they are all connected to organized crime. Because of her comments, pretty much everyone in the poker industry will be attending the charity event.
Duke commented: "I think that after this poker tournament, the real Joan Rivers will quickly realize that poker players are good-natured people - professional people with respected occupations and families - who really want to change the lives of those less fortunate. As poker players, we're banding together, not just to prove a point to Joan, but to actually change the world."
The tournament will begin on May 27th with a red carpet ceremony at 5pm and the tournament will begin at 6pm. the tournament will have a buy-in of $200 with re-buys and add-ons available.
