Caesar' to Host Heads Up Championships next 4 Years
The popularity of heads up poker is increasing fast, and with the newfound popularity the Heads up Poker Championship has also found its limelight. NBC Announced today that their production, will have a home at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada for the next four years.
The National Heads-Up Poker Championship has been hosted by Caesar's the last three years running, after initially debuting at the Golden Nugget in 2005.
The tournament features the most elite of poker pro's, included by invitation or satellite only (Such as the seat given away last year by PokerStars). To take home the title, a player must successfully win six consecutive heads up poker matches.
"In the past three years, our affiliation with Caesar's Palace has helped produce great participants, great on-site attendance and strong television viewership," Said Jon Miller, executive vice president of NBC Sports.
