Chris Ferguson Wins NBC Heads UP Championship

Chris Ferguson has taken the 2008 NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship after finishing in second place in 2005 and 2006.  Ferguson won the best of three finals against Andy Bloch.  Andy was the last minute substitute when comedian-actor Brad Garret was called back to work after. 

Last year the same thing happened when Paul Wasicka was brought in when Doyle Brunson couldn't attend and then won the event and before the finals started Andy Bloch said, "I'm the Paul Wasicka of this year".  Ferguson however wasn't going to let that prediction come true and took home the championship.

But some players still made some cash, quarter finalists took home $75,000, while the semi finalists got $150,000 but Chris Ferguson took home $500,000 for his poker playing skills.
