EPT Polish Open Concludes Second Day
The second day of play at the European Poker Tour's Polish Open has finished for the day. Juan Maceiras is currently the chip leader with 388,000, but Claus Nielson is catching up to him with 345,000 in chips.
Peter Jepsen won the title last year and Nielson is trying to become the second consecutive Dane to win the event. A total of 104 players got eliminated from play yesterday but Andy Black wasn't among them but he might be joining then soon as he ended the day with only 5,000 in chips.
The 20,000 PLN or roughly $8,794 dollar buyin event attracted players from all over the world and 359 people anted up to create a total prize pool for the event of 7,180,000 PLN or $3.15 million dollars. The first place winner will get 2,154,000PLN or almost a million in dollars, $947,000 dollars to be exact.
The tournament will resume play tomorrow at 8am EST.
