Karl Fenton Wins PKR Live II Main Event

Last weekend the Loose Cannon club hosted the PKR Live II $75,000 Main Event.  A good number of players competed in the event but it was Karl “discomonkey” Fenton who outlasted the field and took down the $20,000 first place prize.

On the final hand of heads up play, Fenton’s Queen-Ten off suit defeated Simon “Tigerwing” Wing’s Ace-Nine when a Queen fell on the board. Fenton was excited about his win and commented: “It was definitely one of the best, most enjoyable and most successful weekends of my life. I can’t thank all of you guys enough for the cheers and the massive support I received throughout the whole weekend. It was an absolute honor.”

For his second place finish, Wing took home $12,000 and AnnDav took third winning $8,500. The top twenty finishers in the Main Event cashed out with the lowest prize of $800 paid to the bottom players.

Team PKR Pro was also on hand for the event after being announced just last week. Ray O’Mahoney of Team PKR Pro won the Bounty Free roll event which took place on Sunday night while Andrew Teng barely missed making the final table of the Main Event.
