Marc Naalden Wins Event #38 of the WSOP

Four hundred and forty six players competed in event #38 of the World Series of Poker but only one would walk away a bracelet winner. The event was a $2,000 limit hold’em tournament and it was Marc Naalden who walked away with the win and his first ever WSOP gold bracelet.

Naalden is a former derivatives trader who spent ten years in his career before leaving to try his hand at a poker career. During his poker career Naalden has earned the nickname ‘NeedleKing’ and he now has won his first bracelet.

When the final day began Naalden held a strong chip lead and when seven players remained Naalden was in the lead. He held more than half of the total chips in play and quickly earned more. Naalden eventually went into heads up play against Steven Cowley.

At one point Cowley gained the chip lead but it did not take long before Naalden regained the lead and after two hours of heads up play Naalden was able to earn the win. For his efforts Naadlen took home $444,070 in prize money and of course the Gold Bracelet.
