Neil Channing Wins Irish Poker Open

The 2008 Irish Poker Open is closed and Neil Channing is the winner. The €3 Million Guaranteed prize pool drew in 666 players for a chance at the cash.  The Texas Hold'em tournament lasted for five exciting days as players were beat out until there was just the final table.

The players sitting at the final table. were of course; Neil Channing, Donal Norton, Thomas Dunwoodie, Tim Blake. Kai Danilo Paulsen, Edwin Tournier, Casten Joh, Erik Larcheveque and John Keown.  The players are also listed as they went out with Donal Norton taking second place for €420,000 and so on.

Neil Channing got the first place prize of €801,400 or $1.25 million dollars, the prize pool got a boost of €200,000 from the tournament organizers as the total number or registrants failed to meet the guaranteed amount.
