Paddy Power Poker Announces Details of Upcoming Charity Event

Paddy Power Poker announced the details today of their upcoming charity poker tournament. The event is called the Paddy Power Charity Poker Open and it will take place in Renfrew, Scotland at The Normandy Hotel.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on May 16th and four heats of five hundred players will take place. Once the heats have finished the grand final will take place with forty players competing for the first place prize.

The grand final will begin on May 30th. The charity tournament will benefit the Erskine Hospital which has been in service to those in the area since 1916.

Players can earn an all expense paid trip to Dublin for the Paddy Power Poker Irish Poker Open in 2010. Included in the prize is the tournament entry. Other prizes up for grabs during the tournament are VIP packages to the Ayr Gold Cup in September, VIP packages to the Paddy Power Gold Cup and a trip for two to Las Vegas.

Players can register for each event online or the day of the tournament heats. The schedule for the charity event is as follows:

* Heat 1 - Saturday, 16th May
* Heat 2 - Sunday, 17th May
* Heat 3 - Saturday, 23rd May
* Heat 4 - Sunday, 24th May
* Grand Final - Saturday, 30th May
