Paren Arzoomanian Wins PokerStars ANZPT Event

The PokerStars Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) event in Sydney has ended and  Paren Arzoomanian outlasted the field of four hundred and ninety three players to take home the first place prize of $246,500.

Second place went to Lisa Walsh who earned $162,690 AUD for her finish. Walsh is a mother of six from Australia and she can be proud to be the highest paid female at a poker tournament in Australia.

Arzoomanian did not seem to have a chance at the win as Billy Arygros, a legend in poker of Australia, came into final table play with the chip lead. But it was not to be for Arygros who was knocked out in sixth place.
