Party Poker Million VI Gets Set for Sail
Poker Players from all over the world are headed to Venice today to board the MSC Cruise Liner for a week of great poker action at the Party Poker Million VI. This is going to be a eight day cruise that will take players around the Mediterranean with stops at several popular tourist destinations along the way before returning to Venice.
There are players signed up from 30 different countries and a lot of them made their way to the poker cruise by taking place in online qualifiers. Some of the players competing in the Party Poker Million VI are Sweden's Late Night Poker winner Andreas Jorbeck, Mike McDonald, Soeren Kongsgaard, Christian Kruel from Brazil, Alexander Jung, Florian Langmann and Mika Paasonen from Finland.
Mike Sexton is going to be the host and MC for the even with Mike Savage and Dave Lamb will be the tournament directors. Mark Tenner, Jan Fisher and Linda Johnson will be on board to help run the poker room. "The excitement is building ahead of the first-ever PartyPoker.com Million to be held in Europe," said a Party Poker spokesman. "We estimate a total prize pool of over $1.3 million."
Players that won their way into the event through Party Poker got a prize package that is worth $12,000 dollars and includes their $8,200 buy in for the No Limit Texas Hold'em Main Event plus $2,700 for accommodations and the cruise and finally $1,100 in spending money.
