PokerStars Super Tuesday Won by Online Player Antoshka

Three hundred and twenty eight players logged on to compete in the PokerStars Super Tuesday tournament which created a first place prize of $68,250. Online player Anton “Antoshka” Smolanskiey was able to outlast the field and take the first place win.

When final table play began Anton was the third from the bottom in chips but after winning a few pots he was able to gain a good size chip stack. Anton made it to three handed play to face off against David Peters and dmwizard.

On one significant hand Peters went all in from the big blind and was called by dmwizard. Peters held K-J and dimwizard held A-9 with the board running Q-8-7-J-2 with three cards as clubs which gave Peters a flush and knocked dimwizard out of the competition.

This left Peters and Anton to begin heads up play which did not last very long as Peters was short stacked. On the final hand Peters went all in with A-K and was called by Anton who held pocket Queens. The flop came A-10-7 which gave Peters the lead and an Ace on the turn secured it more but a Queen on the river gave Anton the better hand and the tournament win.
