Sky Poker Hosting SPUKT Grand Final This Weekend

The Grand Final of the Sky Poker UK Tour will be taking place this weekend at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham. The £220 Main event will have a guaranteed prize pool of £25,000 and cameras will be filming the main event as well as side games during the weekend.

But the SPUKT Grand Final is not the only thing the poker provider has to be excited about. Sky Poker recently announced the addition of a social networking area at their online poker room. Emma Crowe, the head of marketing at Sky Poker, commented on the addition stating:

“One of the things we hear most frequently from our players, whether it be on TV, online or at our live events, is that they love the friendly, community feel of Sky Poker. The launch of this new social network, especially the forums, will allow the players to keep in contact more easily, which will only strengthen the community and make it more welcoming to new players, for whom the world of poker forums can be somewhat intimidating.”

Sky Poker will now include forums on such topics as the poker room and the sky poker channel as well as anything else that may take place on the site or in the poker industry. Players will be able to keep up with their friends using the friend lists, profile pages and blogs.
