UBOC 2010 Wraps up at UltimateBet

The 2010 Ultimate Bet Online Challenge has ended and the $1,050 main event was won by Dave ‘DoubleDave22’ D’Alesandro. The first place winner took home a prize of just over $279,000 for his efforts.

The tournament was a no limit hold’em event and was hosted by Phil Hellmuth. 1,307 players competed in the event which created a large prize pool, the largest in the history of the site. The event took place on the 31st and D’Alesandro had to face Lauren ‘SuperModl’ Kling before he could claim the win.

It took almost thirteen hours for the tournament to finish and heads up play lasted only thirty hands. Kling would be knocked out of the competition soon after heads up play began.  One hundred and thirty five players would finish in the money during the UBOC main event.

Hellmuth commented: “This year’s UBOC brought me out in full force. I played in almost every event, cashed four times and had two top-nine finishes. What a way to end the best online championship poker series ever.”
