$7 Million H.O.R.S.E Championship

The $50,000 dollar H.O.R.S.E World Championship is only in it's third year and it has fastly become one of the most prestigious titles to win in all of tournament poker.  This event has some of the best players entered in making a very daunting field to play against all trying to win their share of the $7 million dollar prize pool.

Right now it's Chip Reese who is considered to be the greatest all around poker player and veteran professional poker player Freddy Deeb who said the he played "the best poker of his life" to take the title last year.

Deeb said about winning the title,  "It's a great accomplishment. It's an all-around best player I think, a real championship tournament. I've never been a player to worry about holding a bracelet or not. But holding this bracelet is like holding ten others, all together."

Some of the great players that entered into the event were; Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, T.J. Cloutier, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Mike Matusow, Patrik Antonius, Howard Lederer, Gus Hansen, Ted Forrest, Allen Cunningham and last year's champion Freddy Deeb.

The rest of the list of poker pros is equally impressive but there was one notable player missing, and that player is eight time bracelet winner Erik Seidel.  He wasn't there because he was trying to win bracelet number nine at the final table of Event No. 43.

"I was planning to play in the H.O.R.S.E. if I got knocked out of this, so I consider this a $50,000 bonus that I got to stay in this one. If I win this it'll be good, but if I don't I'll be disappointed for sure. It's just great, though -- all you can ask for is to be in there and have a shot at it, which I do."
