APAT Academy Launches

Since online poker exploded and more and more people want to learn how to play and don't necessarily want to lose their shirt in the process.  You can find Texas Hold'em instruction at most major online poker rooms but sometimes you want a more hands on approach.  So poker organizations are taking poker training to a more personal level.

The Amateur Poker Association and Tour (APAT) has teamed up with Dusk Till Dawn, Europe's largest poker only club to provide like poker training for all APAT members and they have named it the APAT Academy.

They will receive guidance from professional poker player Paul Jackson and each APAT Academy live day will be addressing the theory of multi table tournaments in all stages, player position, assess player holdings and bankroll management.

Late Night Poker legend Simon Truper will hold lectures on player psychology and tells.  The Live training days will also take a look at sit n go poker strategy, cash game selection and limits.

Another feature of the APAT Academy's live training days will be a guest professional who will be there to offer insight on how they play their game.  Those that attend the Live training days will be able to sit down and chat with European Poker Tour and multi Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Champion Julian Thew.

If you want to attend a APART Academy live training day they will be held at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, UK at 1:30pm and will last for six hours.
The cost for the training is GBP 99 per player and this doesn't include your entry into the evening tournament, so bring more cash if you want to play.
