Duane Demaris Crittenden II First Court Appearance
Earlier in the week I reported on a man who had killed three people who he believed were cheating him at a private poker match in Palatka.
Since then he has made his first court appearance in a Palatka Courtroom and now has his arraignment scheduled for March 19th.
Duane Demaris Crittenden II has been charged with three counts of first degree murder following the execution style deaths of Jerome Henry, Robert Ford and Richard Smith.
Crittenden came into court heavily chained and was also wearing a bulletproof vest, he was being held in the Marion County Jail until he was transferred to Putnam County yesterday.
Crittenden is being represented by Jim Valerino, who typically handles capital murder cases for the public defender's office. The state attorney has not announced if they are going to seek the death penalty in this case as of yet.
