LAPT Expands to North America
Vega Promotional Systems has announced that they are going to expand their Latin America Poker Tour (LAPT) to now include stops in North American venues.
With the expansion comes a new name the tour has been renamed the "Poker Tour of the Americas". This change comes after increased interest from cities all over North and South America.
Vegas has agreed to expand the Tour's reach to now include cities in the United States and Canada. The plan for the inaugural season will remain the same.
The company is currently negotiating with venues in several Latin American countries, including Puerto Rico, Panama, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica.
Potential new Tour stops includes venues in the United States and Canada with the season ending Tournament of Champions where the champion of the "Poker Tour of the Americas" will be crowned.
Vega will be promoting the PTA and they will also be the Executive Producer of the video programming and they are planning to air the tournaments throughout North and South America.
Since Vega will own the programming they are currently negotiating for airtime with cable providers that would in turn then allow the company to sell their own advertising for the programs.
