Partouche to Create United Kingdom Betting Site

As the gambling market continues to grow in the United Kingdom so does the number of investors and gambling operators. The largest casino group in France, Partouche, will be launching a new sports betting website in the second quarter of this year. The site will target the market in the United Kingdom.

The website will be called Partouchgaming and will be created in the English language. The site will launch in time for the Euro 2008 Football Championships that will take place in Switzerland and Austria in June.

The site will be promoted by Eric Cantona who is considered the face of Partouche. Eric played for Manchester United in the United Kingdom and is very popular especially to sports fans. In France, the Company has launched a backgammon site. Backgammon is legal according to French gambling laws because it is considered a game of skill.

Partouche has also been working to create an online poker site. They have come to an agreement with Red Planet Gaming to develop poker software. Red Planet Gaming is a poker software supplier. Vahe Baloulian, the CEO of Red Planet Gaming, has stated the two companies will be working together to help develop the software.

The new website will not be available to French residents due to current bans but the Company will be ready in the future if the bans are changed or lifted. Mean while the site will be available for UK residents and other international markets.
