Poker Rooms Starting to Welcome Back US Players
Back in October of 2006 Senator Bill First made millions of poker playing enemies when he passes the law that would ban online poker for millions of Americans. However since that day sites have sprang up online to offer help for US based players.
One site in particular, unitedstatesofpoker.blogspot.com informed American players that this law didn't actually ban online poker but made it more difficult for players to find ways to make deposits and withdrawals into their poker accounts. The new law definitely made things more difficult and alot of online casinos and poker rooms stopped accepting US players.
But, lucky for us alot of the larger sites still accepted us Americans. Now well over a year has passed since the UIGEA came into force, millions of Americans are still happily playing poker online. Although some companies had pulled out in the beginning they are starting to return or at least are considering a return to poker.
Now, one of the larger poker rooms, Doyle's Room is now accepting US players again after pulling out originally. There is also talk circulating online that Party Poker, which was the largest online poker site in the world until they also pulled out of the US market are looking at making a sensational comeback into the US.
So while we had a scare American Poker players are still playing poker online and having fun doing do and with the return of many poker sites accepting US players, one day soon we can all look back at the "ban" of certain forms of online gaming and share a couple of laughs.
