Dutch Antilles Determined To Make UK 'White List'

When Great Britain's Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) released the 'White List', a compilation of all jurisdiction that would be allowed to advertise gambling operations in the UK, the Netherlands (Dutch) Antilles was not among them. Since then, Dutch Antilles has released a statement expressing their determination to appear on the UK white list before the year is out.

The DCMS excluded the Dutch Antilles for what they said to be an insufficient scale of regulatory presence regarding their gambling industry.

In response, the Dutch Antilles government has drafted legislation that would resolve these issues, stating that they are "confident it will be rapidly and rightfully placed on UK 'white list'."

The new policies are scheduled to go into effect by December of 2007. In addition, the UK has already been provided with a draft of the legislative changes. The Dutch Antilles government revealed that these policy changes were necessary and should easily meet all standards set for by the British government.
