Harrah's Entertainment Files Lawsuit Over WSOP Domain
Now, the currently unnamed former employee provides poker information through the website cleverly gaining traffic from internet users who type in the URL thinking that it would lead them to the event's official site. Although the website clearly states a different name, the acronym used has been enough for Harrah's entertainment to gain an advantage in the legal proceedings. Furthermore, reports indicate that the employee is trying to make its way into the online casino business and is using the website as leverage to do so. As of now, Harrah's also requests that his trademark application for the acronym be denied and that rights to the domain name be transferred to them. Unspecified damage claims have also been filed by the company.
